Expunge a DUI or OWI in Michigan

Yes — since February 2022, Michigan allows one first-offense operating while intoxicated conviction to be set aside. You must wait 5 years after completing your sentence, probation, and any jail time. OWI causing death or serious injury is not eligible, and the judge has discretion to weigh your driving record. Second-offense OWI cannot be expunged.
